Checking Out Books

 

  • Our library offers over 5,000 print materials including books and magazines.

  • Most items can be checked out for a 2-week period.

  • You may borrow 2 books at a time. If you need more, see Mrs. Jordan for special arrangements.

  • We do not charge overdue fines unless you are extremely late.

  • Magazines can be checked out overnight.

  • While we do not allow reference material check outs, we can usually accommodate your research needs by copying materials. 

  • Return books to the "Book Return" located at the circulation desk.

Accessing Information Using Technology

 

  • The library has a 32-computer lab for all your learning needs.

  • We have six Chromebooks. Mrs. Jordan can assist you with your log-in.

  • Scheduled classes take precedent over walk-in patrons.

  • Students can use the lab for research, creating presentations, writing pa​pers, and much more.

  • Academic printing is free. We do not offer color printing.

  • We have E-Book and database access.

  • BYOD - We do allow students to "Bring Your Own Device." WARNING: You must follow the BYOD guidelines and YOU MUST seek permission in advance from the librarian.  

  • The library has wireless access. Please sign in as BOE Guest.

  • It is YOUR responsibility to use technology appropriately. Be a good "cybercitizen."

Projects

 

  • A project room is available for students. This area has letter-cut outs, scissors, specialty scissors, laminating and binding machines, straight-edge cutters, and some supplies like glue sticks, colored pencils, and markers.

  • Laminating is 25 cents per foot.

  • Binding is 25 cents per binder.

  • Green Screen for photography and video editing is available.

  • We offer space to make a mess and trash receptacles to help you be a good citizen.

General Policies

 

  • Sign-in and let the librarian know what you are supposed to be doing.

  • If you are making up a test, please read and use the orange testing sign.

  • Your teacher should call or send a note.

  • If you visit during lunch, you must stay for the entire lunch period.

  • This is a shared space and remember to not disturb others.

  • Leave your workspace neat and tidy.
